The health and well-being of our patients is always our first priority at Flex Physiotherapy.

Along with the rest of Western Australia, we are preparing for the inevitable changes when our borders open in February. We are learning from the experience of physiotherapy clinics in the Eastern States, following the advice from health authorities, and working hard to ensure that we can still offer our full range of services without risking the safety of our staff and patients.

The best way to stay safe is to stay at home, so we encourage our patients to have their appointments via Telehealth video link whenever possible. Our physiotherapists are now very experienced with Telehealth, and have had great success treating patients with a wide range of pain issues and injury concerns. Find out more about our Telehealth treatment options here

Of course, some things can only be treated hands-on. We are still seeing patients in our Murdoch rooms, but with additional precautions to keep everyone safe:

  • Your physio will be wearing an N95/P2 mask, and may choose to wear a face shield for additional protection
  • You will be required to wear a face mask to attend our clinic in person. If you have a medical mask exemption, we do not have the facilities to treat you safely. Please contact us on 9332 6422 to arrange a Telehealth consultation or so we can help you find alternative treatment arrangements
  • Our waiting room chairs are spaced for physical distancing, with additional seating available in the corridor outside our clinic
  • All surfaces are regularly sanitised, and hand sanitiser is readily available
  • We ask that you do not bring additional people to your appointment unless they are needed as a support person
  • SafeWA / ServiceWA sign-in points are present at the entry to the Medical Clinic building and at the Flex Physio front door - please sign in at both locations
  • Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time

We are introducing digital patient information forms and questionnaires, which will be sent to patients via email or SMS

Who should NOT attend in person

Please postpone your appointment or change it to Telehealth if you:

  • Are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or sore throat,
  • Currently have a confirmed case of COVID-19,
  • Are currently undergoing testing for COVID-19 and are awaiting test results,
  • Are a 'close contact' of someone who is a confirmed case of Coronavirus COVID-19,
  • Are a 'close contact' of someone who is currently undergoing testing for COVID-19 and is awaiting test results,
  • Have returned from overseas in the last 14 days, or
  • Have returned from interstate in the last 14 days and have received advice to quarantine or self-isolate.

Where to next?

Flex Physiotherapy will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely, and we will notify our patients immediately if the official advice changes significantly. We will continue to find ways to safely offer our patients the highest quality of physiotherapy care.

Ian and the Flex Physio team.
