Physiotherapist
See Karis at our Mount Lawley or Murdoch clinics
See Karis for: Arm, hand, shoulder or neck pain; Pain or injury from gym training; Nerve pain; Acute sporting injuries
Karis has been part of the Flex Physiotherapy team for several years – she came to do a few months maternity leave cover, and we never wanted her to leave! Over this time, she has become particularly adept at assessing and treating a wide variety of hand and upper limb injuries.
Karis is Curtin University trained, and has worked exclusively in private practice clinics. She places particular emphasis on understanding how your injury is impacting your life - she will conduct a thorough assessment, help you understand what is happening and then discuss the best options to manage it. She loves working with her patients to not just get them better, but to get them as good as they can be. This could mean new PBs at the gym or simply getting back out in the garden. She combines her knowledge of evidence-based research with your individual preferences to find the best solution for you.
Away from the clinic, Karis also does clinical tutoring for Notre Dame physiotherapy students. She can be found playing with her mischievous Somali cat, exploring Perth's food scene or training in powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting at the gym. And she may be spotted riding her Yamaha R1 motorbike – if you're quick enough!
